About EVBP
EVBP is the practice of Evan Palmejar. I build the technology and design how people meet it, for teams where the return on a technology investment depends on whether the people around it actually use it. Data tells me where to look. Design tells me what to build.
About Evan Palmejar
Evan started his career onboard ocean-going oil and chemical tanker ships as a marine engineering officer, managing mission-critical systems and shipboard operations.
From there, he worked at Thetius, one of the leading technology research firms in the maritime industry, where he led the development of insight products and published research and reports on AI in maritime. He also worked in the Southeast Asian venture capital industry, analysing and consulting high-tech startups, and designed customer and user experiences in the Baltic energy sector.
Currently, Evan is engaged with consulting firms, tech startups, and marketing agencies in their AI strategy and operations.
Evan earned his bachelor's degree in marine engineering from the Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific as a scholar of the International Maritime Employers' Council, and was an Erasmus Mundus scholar in the European Joint Master's program in Service Design Strategies and Innovations.
Every role taught me something the previous one could not. Engineering taught me systems. Data taught me patterns. Venture capital taught me how to read a market. Service design taught me how to read a room. Now I build tools that sit where those things meet: technology that works because the people side was designed in, not bolted on.
